I'm pretty sure I've been promising a San Diego travel guide for months (see as how I went back in September of last year..) so I've finally gathered my thoughts, and finished editing all of the photos. I took so many of each place we tried, so I narrowed it down to a select few little shops that I highly recommend to anyone looking for a relaxing afternoon in SoCal!
1. Sage Sisters -
One of our first stops in San Diego was North Park, where we walked around to find all the best shops (and a few places I had scouted on instagram beforehand). Sage Sisters was one that we stumbled upon out of luck, and I'm so glad that we did! Part florist, part gift shop, it was 100% adorable. I left with a handmade alpaca, and Brittany picked out some enamel pins.
2. Pigment -
Pigment on the other hand was definitely one of the locations I had been wanting to visit for awhile. One of my favorite bloggers, Taylor Sterling shares pics from the perfectly curated boutique pretty regularly, and I was over the moon to discover it was even more dreamy than I imagined. I really had to practice self control here, since everything was my aesthetic and I can only bring so much home on the plane. In hindsight I wish I bought one of the succulent arrangements, but again self control was essential and my little apartment (and boyfriend) would probably disagree about whether another plant is necessary.
3. Communal Coffee / Native Poppy -
The Coffee + Flowers sign is famous on instagram, so naturally I had to add it to our to-do list and see what the hype was all about. Brittany and I decided it was the perfect place for breakfast before our day at the zoo, and we were right. Combining a coffee shop with a florist makes for a great morning, especially when there's a plant shop right next door. My fruit and yogurt parfait was super delicious, and Brittany got a lox bagel that she enjoyed too! If I lived in San Diego I'd be stopping here for my coffee and flowers fix as often as possible.
4. Holy Matcha -
Holy Matcha was a highlight of our weekend to me, from the drinks to the yummy donuts, and the overall ~vibes~. I shared more photos in a previous post, which you can find here.
These are only a few of the places we visited during our trip, and weren't the only ones we fell in love with. San Diego is so full of fun things to do, and I can't wait to go back! Here's hoping it's sooner rather than later.
