I am so excited to be reviewing these products from the L'Oreal Serie Expert line! I have been using them for about 3 weeks now and am super happy with the results so far.
Serie Expert is a collection of haircare that allows you to have salon-quality treatment from home. L'Oreal's line comes in several variations so that you can target your specific needs, and in this case I have been using products from the "nutrifier" collection.
I want to start by saying that if you are someone who takes a super speedy shower every morning, or prefers to avoid multiple steps in their routine, then these products may not be right for you.
The nourishing shampoo is pretty standard - just lather and rinse. The conditioner on the other hand is a bit more complicated. Because the step for conditioning uses a masque, you will need to towel dry and apply it to your hair before waiting 5 minutes to rinse out. I have a terrible sense of time, so I have to yell to Siri to put a timer on my phone. I can easily see how this would feel tedious if you're used to a fast pace in your everyday haircare. However, I typically take a longer shower at night, and unless I have been to the gym I will often opt for a relaxing bubblebath in order to avoid washing my hair everyday. Since I shampoo a maximum of 2-3 times a week, adding the additional time to the routine to condition hasn't bothered me. On the other hand, I'm used to a more standard conditioner and honestly might get tired of the step as time goes on.
I've also enjoyed using the styling product "Brush Proof" which is recommended with the collection. It's super easy and quick, which is always a motivator for me. All you do is spray the solution onto your brush before running it through your wet hair, in order to eliminate friction that would otherwise cause breakage. This is something I always have a problem with, and I feel like I'm constantly cleaning out my brush.
As for the last product, which is a leave-in balm, I honestly forget to use it. I'm terrible about doing additional steps once my hair is dry, even though I should probably use a heat protectant of some kind. Since I didn't see a noticeable difference the first time using the balm, I haven't gone out of my way to continue.
Overall I like the Serie Expert products I've been incorporating into my routine, and haven't had any issues with greasiness or heaviness in my hair since I started!
